Freight forwarding specialist DSL Global Freight is celebrating after winning honours at two prestigious business awards.

DSL was voted Small Business of the Year by judges at the Hull Daily Mail Business Awards and were runners up in the same category in The York Press awards.

The recognition comes following major expansion by DSL from an abnormal load specialist to a genuine global freight service providing land, air and sea transportation solutions.

Director Liz Boden said: “It’s very satisfying to have our business recognised in this way and it highlights the quality of service we are providing to our customers.

“We have put in place strategies which have seen the company evolve from dealing solely with abnormal loads to a business which provides a genuine comprehensive service covering all areas of freight forwarding.

“We still provide solutions for abnormal loads with complex routes and detailing but we have added so much more and this has enabled us to build our customer base and our profits.

“We continue to work closely with all our clients and we are responsive, flexible and reliable in meeting their individual needs.”

The winning entries were prepared by Verrill Public Relations and join an impressive list of successes that the consultancy has gained for clients across a range of industry sectors.
