A part completed housing development in East Yorkshire is to be given a new lease of life after being acquired by a highly respected Hull construction company.
Hall Construction Group has invested in the All Saints Mews development in Preston which has lain part completed for the last four years.
Now work is to start on completing the 18 property development to provide a range of high quality but competitively priced homes for local families.
Work stopped on the development four years ago when the previous developer ran into financial difficulties.
Originally, the site was part of a farm which has been tastefully converted into a mixture of stylish townhouse properties, apartments and semi-detached houses for families and single people with prices starting at £95,000.
Sales of the homes are being handled by estate agents Stanifords who will provide further details to prospective buyers along with some new to the market mortgage products.
In addition, the company will also be offering one of the properties for sale to a local housing association for social housing.
Hall Construction Group will also be carrying out landscaping and completion of the estate road.
Craig Swales, Group Business Development Manager for Hall Construction Group, said: “We are looking forward to transforming the current site and creating a highly desirable development.”
“Unfortunately, the previous developer fell victim to the recession but we have now successfully negotiated the purchase of the site and will be turning it into an excellent development for the local community.”
Hall Construction Group is one of the region’s leading construction companies and has been operating for more than 125 years.
Mr Swales added: “We have completed many residential schemes in the area for our clients along with our own in house development’s and will continue to source schemes such as this to increase our portfolio.
“We are a socially responsible company and we are keen to use our skills and expertise to take over part completed projects and turn them into an asset for the local area
“The recession has left its mark on a number of construction companies and we have seen a downturn like everyone else but we have invested time in exploring new markets and increased our customer base so we are able to able to take on these part completed schemes using our in-house resources.
“With our Green Deal Installer accreditation, the launch of our Renewables department and our ECO delivery programme these are exciting times for the business.”
